Central Carolina Works

We have enrolled 694 students in dual enrollment coursework by placing nine advisors in local high schools who encourage participation.
Students that complete dual enrollment coursework are twice as likely to complete a college credential according to recent research. We have partnered with The Golden LEAF Foundation, Lee County Schools, Harnett County Schools, and Chatam County Schools to place college advisors in local high schools to increase participation in dual enrollment coursework. This program will soon be implemented statewide, after a Senate Bill was filed with the NC General Assembly. In its first year, Central Carolina Works has already enrolled 694 students, 88% of whom have achieved an A, B or C in the course.
