Leadership at the Movie

Andi Wagenschutz
An informative 90-minute leadership program using classic movies to highlight leadership techniques.
Leadership at the Movies was created as a pre-work event to offer leadership education to Chamber members in a unique and entertaining setting. Our presenters use clips of classic movies, examples include "Other People's Money", "Braveheart" and "300", to demonstrate leadership traits and skills among the characters. They also explain how leadership decisions, both good and bad, impact the storyline of the film. The events are held in the historic Bijou By the Bay theater in downtown Traverse City, a 150-seat theater built in a former city museum that's right next to the Chamber office. The intimate setting generates a meaningful exchange of ideas and questions between the presenters and attendees, and the 7:30 - 9 a.m. showings allow participants to start their day with an inspirational leadership message that they can carry back to their workplace.
