Parker Area Chamber Brings Food Network to Town

Dennis Houston
We recruited the Food Network to do a 30-min. global TV feature about Parker, CO and our Parker Days Festival - the show airs this fall!
The Parker Days Festival is our signature event and is the premier family event in the Parker area (and the Denver south metro) for the last 38 years. Being named one of the Top 3 festivals in Colorado for two consecutive years, our chamber wanted to have the opportunity for the entire country to experience what our community loves so much about Parker. Before this year’s festival our team at the Parker Area Chamber recruited the Food Network and worked behind the scenes on an amazing opportunity to bring the Food Network to Parker Days 2015 to focus on an entire 30-minute show on our festival. This is an estimated value of $5,000,000 in FREE media coverage on our community of 50,000 people. It’s an extreme process to select a community and festival from thousands of events across America. Parker was selected and our team worked directly and diligently with the staff of the Food Network to make all this happen over a two month period leading up to the festival. The festival attracted a record crowd to Parker this year with an attendance of more than 185,000 people. The attendees participate in the festival weekend by enjoying carnival rides, attractions, live music on three stages, arts and crafts exhibitors, car show, motorcycle show and beer gardens.
